The SAILeR consortium will meet at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, on 8–9 October 2026 for the project's second in-person meeting. The meeting will bring together representatives of the partner higher education institutions and members of the project's Quality Assurance Committee to review progress, discuss emerging results and coordinate the next phase of project activities.
The first day of the meeting will focus on WP2 – Vision of Learning Design. Partners will review the work carried out so far and discuss the results related to the vision of learning design and prioritisation of learning outcomes, building on the literature reviews, focus groups, concept development and BDP upgrades completed during the first project phase. These activities have already resulted in research outputs and new BDP functionalities supporting macro-level learning design and learning outcome prioritisation.
The second day will focus on WP3 – AI Assistant for Learning Design. Partners will review the current state of the BDP AI assistant, exchange experiences with different approaches to AI assistance, and discuss the research and development activities that will guide the next version of AI support in BDP. The upcoming work includes research into user requirements for the AI assistant, followed by further development and evaluation.
The meeting will also provide time for joint and bilateral discussions, coordination of upcoming activities and planning of the next steps across the project.
