The Faculty of Organization and Informatics University of Zagreb, will host the kick-off and coordination meeting of the new Erasmus+ project SAILeR – Streamlining AI in Learning Reimagination on 4 and 5 December 2025 in Varaždin.
All partner institutions, long-standing collaborators in previous European and research initiatives, will take part in the meeting:
- University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (Croatia) – project coordinator
- University of Oulu (Finland)
- Goethe University Frankfurt (Germany)
- University of Groningen (the Netherlands)
- Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Spain)
The two-day programme will build on the strong foundations established through earlier joint projects and shared expertise. Partners will present their teams and institutional roles, establish the Project Steering Committee, and agree on the management framework and coordination processes. The meeting will also include a comprehensive overview of the project concept, planned outcomes, and the overall timeline of activities.
A key focus will be on Work Package 2: Vision of Learning Design, which explores the development of AI-supported storytelling in education. Partners will jointly discuss theoretical foundations, methodological approaches, the creation of the research protocol, and initial research activities.
For this consortium, the kick-off meeting is not only the start of a new project but also a continuation and deepening of successful long-term cooperation. SAILeR will strengthen partners’ shared commitment to shaping innovative, AI-enhanced learning design and contributing to the digital transformation of education in Europe.
FOI looks forward to welcoming its partners in Varaždin and jointly launching this next chapter of collaboration.
